2 hours of wasted time

I’ve seen 8 Miles probably 4 times. Not by choice. I just happened to be with friends who have never seen it before and did not believe me that it’s not worth it to see. You see when you see the advertisements you think it will be great because Enemim and Britany Murphy and Kim Bassenger are in it. Now what movie wouldn’t be great with know actors? Wrong! The beginning of this movie is okay, but after an hour of swearing and situations that just don’t make sense you begin to wonder. Critics said that it mirrored Enemim’s own life, but it’s just such trash. Like his friend turning on him and sleeping with his girlfriend (Murphy), what kind of girlfriend would have sex with his friend when she knew Enemim would be by. A lot of things don’t add up. Or what really did the movie in for me was the ending. After Enemim gets beat up he decides to go to the club and have a challenge with the rival gangs, and he wins, and then it ends. It doesn’t have a wonderful happy ending where he gets a record deal, or he knows what he wants to do in life. There are also so many unfinished things, like with Britanny, did she make it big, did Enemim and her make up?

I don’t know, the swearing and just the pointlessness of the plot made for me watching the movie a total waste of time. And you know all my friends who saw the movie agreed. So if you haven’t seen it, you’re not missing much.
