Mindless Mystery and Senseless Sound Effects

One cant help but have expectations of a movie marketed as a slick thriller with Atul Kulkarni in the star cast. Unfortunately even the best of talent cant compensate for everything else thats wrong with the movie.

Pratyush, (Atul Kulkarni) is a young professional who is having marital problems and his wife walks out on him. A friend and colleague, Aslam, suggests that he meet up with Teesta (Shweta Menon), a professional escort, but Pratyush refuses. However one distressed phone call changes all that when he lands up at the address he was asked to help out at and finds himself at Teesta’s apartment. Unaware and unprepared for what lies ahead, Pratyush gets caught up in a complicated web of murders and deceit in which he is the prime accused. A bank executive, an escort, a rich business man, the smart policeman and a couple of strange characters thrown in...the movie and especially the ending are anything but predictable.

But despite everything, the movie fails to hold the viewer’s attention. The background music and sound effects are terrible and far too loud on most occasions. While the plot is not predictable it is certainly not convincing. In the final denouement, the acting and reactions of some of the key characters is unbelievably flaccid. All in all the movie is a complete disappointment.
