The agoda app is not friendly. I have been using agoda for number of years to book hotels for myself and for my superiors. Usually, they will have a section that indicate whether the booking is for someone else and allows you to put in the third party’s personal details for check in. However, it was not there and they just take my payment. I called to the hotel straight after the payment was made and the hotel requested me to contact agoda to resolve the issue. I called agoda customer service and the first thing they told me to contact the hotel personally. This is ridiculous.
Finally, I made my case and agoda requested me to pay additional 5% to for the name changes. What the hell! Well, thank you Agoda. I thank you for your wonderful service.
You guys out there, please be careful of this scammer.
