Lately Amazon India customer service has been quite awful. Earlier they used to be amazing but now it is quite bad and thus I have shifted to better alternatives.
These days, when some issue happens with an order, the agents deny resolution, and first they make the customer wait for so many days, then they raise an internal investigation in which no customer inputs are taken, and then the agents behave rudely saying that they have to follow orders from the investigation team. And then they finally cut the call saying "Unfortunately we wont be able to help you any further." Earlier, when any issue used to happen with the order, at least agents used to provide a resolution. But now, Amazon India has changed its policy to harass customers.
However, with great difficulty, I was able to get my issue resolved by contacting Indian government consumer portal and Amazon USA headquarters. I mailed Jeff Bezos mail ID and also investor relations team because they need to be made aware about them losing their customers and thus affecting Amazons revenue. And also, registering an online complaint on the National Consumer Helpline helped to put external pressure.
Jeff Bezos mail ID: jeff@amazon.com, jbezos@amazon.com
Amazon Investor relations: amazon-ir@amazon.com
National Consumer helpline: https://consumerhelpline.gov.in/user/index.php
I feel if we all collectively put pressure on them, then only Amazon India will stop behaving like this because Amazon USA and UK are quite good. Because, I have read other reviews of people facing similar issues as mine.
