I used the services of Amplofon Kukatpally(Hyderabad) branch recently. I submitted my hearing aid(right ear) of Starkey for repair with receipt no. 1617990 dt. 7th August. After about a week, I was informed that the cost of repair would be Rs.9000+. I said I would get back to them and called in two days to inform them that I didn’t want the repair to be done and to return my hearing aid. After 20 days, I was informed that the hearing aid was ready for collection and that I had to pay Rs.9, 428, which I was forced to, in order to give back my aid(Receipt no. 1631939, dt. 29th August 23). When I asked why it was repaired since I asked to return back without doing so, I was informed that this is the company’s policy and that I had given my confirmation for the repairs. I have not given any confirmation, except to ask them to return my product without repairing it. Any amount of my explanation has fallen on deaf ears and I was forced to collect my hearing aid after this payment. The culprit in this whole issue is Mr. Manoj Yadav, the receptionist at Amplifon Kukatpally, who cheated me by getting the aid repaired even after my express rejection of the charges and to return back. This is CHEATING OF THE HIGHEST ORDER, to make money from gullible customers. If the company has any responsibility, take action and also do the following:(1) Install recording devices in their phones so that you can record and playback conversations.(2) Seek confirmation of product repair by email or messaging and only then should they proceed. Amplifon’s pricing is VERY HIGH AND THEIR CHEATING OF CUSTOMERS IS OF THE HIGHEST ORDER. Readers of this, DO NOT APPROACH THIS COMPANY FOR SERVICES unless you want to get cheated or robbed of your pockets. Caveat Emptor - Let the buyer beware!
