Angeethi- Dhaba in the heart of Bangalore

Angeethi is on the 4th floor on Museum Road and Church Street junction. If one wishes to visit the place on a weekend, try hitting the place before 9 or one needs to wait on an average 15 minutes for the table. The ambience has best been tried to mock a real highway Dhaba with an artificial well in the center and bollywood posters hanging on the walls, kerosene lanterns here and there. The waiters are everywhere. You need not raise your hand to seek their attention. Water is served in Copper glasses and the cutlery is clean. Liquor is also served and is moderately priced. The starters are good, though Paneer tikka which we ordered lacked quantity and spice.   We also suggested that the quantity of the starter be increased! Waiters suggest the Chef’s special, if asked. Main course is typically dhaba menu- lots of tandoor specialties and we ordered all breads and Parathas each to taste them all, bits and pieces. Try not to miss Tomato shorba, served in small glassware. Yummy!!! No one would hurry your dinner and you can relax over a long drink without being disturbed. Average dinner with a bottle of beer would cost 400/-. Worth visiting.
