Angeethi , i suppose is a new restaurant , situated in Museum Road. This is labelled as a dhaba in the middle of the city , and truely it resembles a sophisticated terrace dhaba.I really loved everything of this place, from food, ambience, the location, the service , etc etc
This place specialises in north indian food both veg and non-veg.This is located I suppose on the 4th floor and hence lots of fresh(??) and cool air .But one thing that strikes , as u enter , is the decor of this place like lanterns, matted walls with posters of old hindi films like shoolay, don, an artificially created well , thatched roof.U r served with roasted papads and an appetiser masala jeera pani , as a welcome drink.Another thing that amused me r the long copper cups in which water is served, giving that oriental touch. COming to food for veggies , I suggest hara bhara veg kabab for starters.Waiters r really very cordial , and very helpful in choosing ur menu, so much so that they suggested some things to try out when we went there for the second time.In afternoons there is a buffet spread with special north indian cuisines and lots of chat items especially in the evenings, and is usually full so do , come in a bit early.
There is beer served, but I would suggest to try out lassi , in true spirit of this place. The soft melodius classical hindi music from 70s in the background truely creates that pleasant atmosphere. Atlast there is a form given to provide ur feedback of this place, and u can expect a prompt DO visit again card posted to ur address , giving that extra personal touch.
Eventhough this place is a wee bit expensive but worth it once in a while. This place is located near st-marks road and church street junction.
