I always thought of Adam Sandler to be a very funny guy. All his movies were mostly romantic comedies which were very different from your everyday routine romantic comedies.
His are a differnt genre altogther.
Waterboy , Happy Gilmore , Billy Madisson were all rocking funny . I had only begun thinking of him as a funny guy whose movies mostly targetted the late teenagers and the early adolescent when Anger Management changed my prospective towards his movies.
This movie properly established him as a comedy genius.
Anger Management is about this nice guy David Buznik who keeps his calm despite all the illtreatment he might be getting. He was an angry guy but his was an implosive anger which used to keep on accumulating before bursting out at the wrong place. He soon found his match , an anger management psychiaterist , Dr. Buddy Rydel played in an awsome manner by the veteran actor Jack Nicholson.
Now after falsely being charged with assaulting a flight attendant , he is forced to go into the intensive anger management program of this incredible anger management therapist , who could bring the Hulk down to his knees.
Dr. Buddy does everything from making David sing in the middle of a busy bridge by stopping his car, to making him confront his childhood nemesis Arny Shankman who used to give him a weggie in his childhood days.
He literally drives the guy crazy to the extent that he actually lets it all out and realises the way he needs to be in order to be successful in life.
Jack has given one of his best performance which can be defined as unpredictably awsome. Adam Sandler does what he does best .. make us laugh.
One of the songs from West Side Story "I Feel Pretty " has been taken in as the background and the foreground music on many occasions and the best part is the way Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson sing " T feel pretty " . It sounds refreshingly new.
This movie is a definite watch !!
