Lets break our sweet obsession with sugar

Are you like everyone else who thinks fruit drinks like these are healthy and empowered to keep the doctor away?

Do you feel its cool, fashionable trendy or in? just because the bottle is curvy, the drink pale like beer, sparkling  and fizzy?

I  won’t remotely consider  this reconstituted from 2.86% concentrated apple  juice with a long shelf  life healthy.

The nature identical flavours are  not natural, what you are guzzling down thinking every sip contributes to health is nothing but a sugar junk . The insignificant amount of fruit benefit is overshadowed by the significant amount of sugar harm  in this drink .

WHO recommends no more  than 6 tea spoons of added sugar per day, per person,  be mindful of  that before you use  such drinks . Sugar has potential for abuse

When the juice  was  reduced to 2.86% apple juice concentrate, how do you know  the water content was  not evaporated  by heating the apple juice or how else  would  it turn to a concentrate, if  so how much vitamin C and other nutrients suffered a loss?

Was  the juice  stored for a long period  in the manufacturing units? Or was it immediately bottled and if so what was used as a preservative to provide a long shelf life?

The company claims this drink reconstituted from 2.86%  concentrated apple juice= 20%  real apple juice  but how much of the  nutrient loss took place in the whole extraction and refining process, no ones ever tell you that .

Once  the juices are exposed to air and heat a lot of damage and oxidation happens to the juice.

On the contrary I think its cool to have a juicer at home and juice  your  own fruits, or even drink at juice centres .  Its even better to blend or puree  them and preserve the essential dietary fiber(that’s slows down the absorption of fructose  that is otherwise metabolised  by your liver)

No wonder  sugar concentrated fruit juices  if  becomes a habit can cause you to have a sluggish fatty liver(non-alcoholic fatty liver disease).

If obesity is the side effect of  these juices  I wonder how  they create health for  anyone .

Go for drinks  that are fruit juice blends(fiber retained) or  fruit juice+vegetable juice combos without any added sugars .

Its the fiber that tames the insulin response to blood sugar as far as possible retain it or  throw it back in your juice . .don’t always give in to your sweetness temptation.

Just in case you didn’t know  the the bitter veggies  are  liver supportive,  juice  blend them with the sweet fruits .

I appreciate everyone who would rather  drink coconut water, amul chass, nimbu pani  or pure portable water .

How many of  you actually know - coconut in any form  is a super food.

Or  try fruit infused water for a change, how many of  you have actually tried  that?

How many of  you love to make smoothies with super foods, "berries "?

If   you have never done that, its never too late .I appreciate  the effects of  all you guys out there who would rather spend some time and make a refreshing cup of  green tea with lemon/ lime and honey or stevia(natural sweetener).I think thats not only cool its a smart move .

Guys be  conscious of  what you put in your mouth, create health and disease will go away as a side effect of creating heath.

No wonder  wrong food choices  in the words of Dr Aseem Malhotra do more damage  than smoking, alcoholism and physical inactivity combined
