This begumpet situated airport is an old and small airport which has long been abandoned for routine use. Instead of this airport now Rajiv Gandhi Airport is used routinely which is near to it. Nobody will travel to this airport as Secunderabad railway station is very near to it. So people will prefer railway journey to travel to begumpet as it is not the busiest of airports of India. Due to this majority of the airlines don’t have any stop here. The security of the airport is a weak point as not much staff are available at this airport. Due to not being the stop of majority of the airlines the accessibility of this airport automatically becomes difficult.
I don’t understand what is the logic of keeping two airports functional side by side. It’s alright that it is kept reserved for VIPs but VIPs can arrive at the other airport also. This is total waste of money and resources.
