Hated it

I was given this book a week ago and was told it was pretty erotic. it interested me I have to confess but I wish I never started it.

first let me tell you that the book itself was Ok, the author is very talanted and surely has her own writing style. it would be easy readable, of course if it was not 500 pages long. but with each page of all 500 I was getting more and more nervous with the main heroine. she made me hate her so much I never thought I could hate a book character like that.

the rest of my review will contain spoilers:

the story is about a girl, who has been living as a prostitute all her life with the only difference she doesn’t take money. starting from 12 she has been sleeping with all males of any age she met and once even with a female. what I didn’t like is that with all this she was made into the victim, she was the helpless one and we had to feel sorry for her. the girl is just 16 but she has had more men then probably her porn star mother. and the book begins when she meets an artist who fells in love with her. she goes to bed with him after 15 minutes they have met. and what I didn’t like was that everybody was going crazy about her. But she was a child, a 16 year old child, though I guess men didn’t pay attention to that when they were in bed with her. I believed that main hero jeremy walker loved her but I never believed that she loved him, that was not convincing at all. reading the book you get the feeling she cares only for herself and to get into bed with someone.

i hated every page of this book, unfortunately I can’t leave a book without reading it till the end and I read it. but I wish I never opened it. it was too much like ’’Lolita’’ by Nabokov. it was maybe interesting but not touching, I tried hard but couldn’t see a love story there, i’d rather say it was about how a man can go sick about a jailbait and break his life. maybe you should be a grown up to understand it. I am 20 and I know what it is to be in love with a man older for 25 years but I found the heroine too dirty to feel love. well, the way she was described made me feel like that. read the book and you’ll know what I mean, of course if after my review you still have a wish to read it.
