I have been using this camera since 3 years now. Although smartphone photography is the new norm and nobody wants to carry a bulky camera around anymore, this DSLR is a great one for beginners. I was really enthusiastic about conventional photography from the DSLRs and after a lot of research and asking around, I decided to buy the Canon EOS 1300D to fulfill my dream of owning a DSLR. Must say that the portraits captured from the 18-55mm lens(available with the camera) are absolutely gorgeous and premium quality either on manual mode or automatic settings.
However, dont expect great landscape shots from this lens because it isnt meant to serve the purpose. The 75-300mm lens would be the best match for capturing farsighted landscape shots. You can zoom in and focus on the feature that you desire on your frame.
Also, dont expect to capture night shots with automatic settings. Its a tough job to capture low-light shots with the camera without a tripod and I have never gotten a chance to use a tripod so cant actually say much about it.
