Great Option for a Newbie!

Haven’t tried using a digital camera yet? OR, buying a camera for the first time? If yes, then I would certainly recommend going for Canon Powershot A530!

It is the first time that I was to use a digital camera! That it is expensive(anything greater than Rs 5000 is expensive for me:)) and if something goes wrong, then.?

But, after opening the box, placing the batteries and the memory card(quite simple), when I pressed the ON button and it’s screen came to life, it was a beutiful moment for me!

The camera is pretty easy to use**, I started clicking right away!

The batteries that can be used are 2 AA batteries, which is a good option for us in India.

I use Duracell Baterries to power my camera! They are a cheaper option(Rs 32 for 2 cells) and lasts me a more than 150 shots! This is quite good for new users and for those who take occansional photographs!(Ordinary cells don’t last more than 5 shots)

Since the prices are falling, this camera at it’s current value do provide a true value for money!

The build quality is quite good(as expected from canon).(10/10)

The image quality is good in day-time(8/10), in darker areas and indoor photographs is OK(6 to 8 out of 10).

Video at 640X480 is quite good!(7/10)

The BEST THING about this camera is the various modes it provides us users.

Another bonus is the Stitch Assisant, it offers us to take photos of a very wide area(many pics) and then later we can combine them(stitch) easily on our computer to generate one pic containg the whole view! The results are quite breath-taking!
