The best pocket pc...

I’ve been using a casio cassiopeia em-500 bu for about a year now, and it’s the best pocket pc yet.

i’m not going to talk of ms, windows ce, or the pocket pc operating system, rather, this review is about this model alone.

very light, good display, excellent multimedia capabilities. the speaker on this one is pretty good - I use it sometimes as a mp3 player in the car.

backlight / screen visibility is among the best in the pocket pc category - you can read very well even in bright sunlight.

there’s a little ’sticky’-kind of strip running along one side, which makes for gripping the pc very easy and comfortable.

i generally use it for reading e-books, occasionally browsing the internet when connected to my pc (which in turn’s got a lan connection). by the way, connection to a desktop pc on my cassiopeia is through a usb cable - not a serial cable. I think I get upto 115kbps throughput - very good data transfer, though not all pc’s support usb (desktops running windows nt for instance).

all in all, an excellent computer - have never had any sort of problem yet...
