Ludlum is back in form

I thought Sigma Protocol was the last book of Ludlum. He is back here with another book co-authored by Philip Shelby. This one is a sequel to Hades Facto, but much better. There are many characters common to both the novels. Ludlum was planning to start a new series under ’’Covert-One’’ collection, unfortunately he passed away. Covert-One is a super secret watchdog agency set up by U S President operating independently of CIA, FBI, NSA etc. and the Chief Mr.Klein reports directly to the President.

A Russian defector reveals of a dangerous plan to steal a deadly virus from a Russian Bio-weapons installation which officially doesn’t exist. The destination is the US and the plan has been set into motion. Who is trying to steal the virus? How? What for? How to stop it? How to retrieve it? Are the questions plaguing Covert-One. What follows is a fast paced action of chase, investigations, relentless pursuit, confrontations, plans, and strategies leading to an explosive climax. Ludlum keeps you on tenterhooks and makes you turn pages incessantly till you finish the book. After a long time I have enjoyed a Ludlum Book. This one is worth a read.
