This is a laptop series from HP-compaq. There are two best products for this series, one CQ60-104TU and CQ60-101AU . I have the CQ60-101AU powered by AMD Athlon 64 ht in my bag now. There are two reason to go for AMD PROCESSOR. AMD is more cheaper and more reliable than Intel.
AMD can tolerate more CPU temperature than intel. But the most important cause is that I can have a dual core facility at less cost with this CQ60-101AU Laptop. My experience:
I am using this laptop for now 6 month, and these is quite good to general office work and data processing. You can use this system for your daily office activity and internet access. This is a good valued laptop for your casual use.
Obviously it is not good enough for the power user who needs lots of speed and power to the laptop. I am a Doctor , and this kind of laptop is perfect for me. My prymary use is of internet is well fulfilled by this laptop. Office suits works quite good .
The most charming feature of this system is its graphics quality.You will be charmed by the visuals of this system. The only problem with this system is that it takes a little bit more time for the initial start up if compared to its competitor intel system(CQ60-104TU).
As this system has the advanced Altech Lansing speaker , its sound quality is superior to other system.Weight is a little bit more than expected. Touch pad is good but I recommend using separate USB mouse for better experience.Recommendation: I recommend this system for the casual office user who are happy with internet and office suits.

This is my edited view for whole HP. my laptop gone dead only after warranty passed by one month. I took it to a HP authorized service center for repair and they asked me to pay 18000INR to repair. I had done nothing with my laptop.
I used to keep it very carefully. But it gone dead by its motherboard. I did a little research about Compaq then. And found that thousands of Compaq users have been cheated by Hp with same faulty motherboard. Tech experts from all over the internet has commented that Hp knew that their Compaq series laptop has faulty motherboards, but did not care about the customer. So, Not only me , there are more than thousands unhappy user who have been cheated by Hp.
Now Hp is a suck*ng company like Microsoft. If you want that your laptop does not go dead by 1 year, then never any HP product from now on. They will be losing when they will find that people can look into their real face.Technically my laptop runs fine with a charged battery , but it does not take any power from adapter , neither it will charge my battery.
Tech guys said that there is only one chip bad in the motherboard and that will be only about 200INR , but that is shouldered in such a way that I need to change my whole motherboard, and this is just nothing but a manufacturer faults that hp already knew but never corrected it for their profit.
