I have watched this film quite a few times and haven’t got bored of it yet. I like a film that makes you think and this one is very twisted! The story is about a step brother and sister played by Sarah Michelle Geller and Ryan Phillippe. Being very anti-buffy I am not a big fan of Geller but she plays the part of the evil sister brilliantly! I think it’s the only time I have watched something with her in it that I have enjoyed. She and her brother make a bet that he won’t be able to sleep with the new headmasters daughter before term starts. This daughter has just done an article on how she wants to wait until she’s married so it was never going to be an easy task!
Meanwhile a new girl to the school is taken under the wing of the sister and she twists her mind getting her to sleep with her brother for ‘experience’. During the bet things get more complicated when the brother falls in love with the girl. Can’t fault the acting in this film at all, the characters are all played brilliantly by their actors/resses. Placebo start off the film with a soundtrack that continues to be very good throughout.
It’s quite an average length film, good to watch with either a group of people or just on your own. Make sure that you are not doing anything at the same time as watching this film because you will quickly get engrossed! I can’t think of one bit that’s slow so there will be no chance to make the coffee, I suggest you send the youngest person, we always do.
