Ban Dalda Ghee

We need to understand the components clearly before we recommend dalda. HVOs contain very high levels of trans fats which, no person in a sane state of mind should consume.

I really do not understand that why this product orignally started in netherlands, took over the indian cooking industry. And now sadly many Indians relate to this product with the fond memories of their parents and grandparents.

Maybe that is beacuse the partial health illiteracy of us Indians. But Sooner or later, one needs to apply his brain before making presumptous statements and hiding against the viel of traditions. Vanaspati ghee is unhealthy. And I will be happy to be proven wrong, but your argument needs to be backed by science and not vague rheoterics.

Somehow I fail to understand why has this product not been banned yet. Is it because of lobbying or is it because of my fellow indians who donot understand the harm that is being done to them and their family by consuming this product. NewYork, Denmark and Switzerland has already banned trans fats. why are some Indian so in love with trans fats? The only day I will buy Dalda ghee is when there is absolutely no trans fat in this product.
