Lol, you’re welcome. I over-scrutinize sometimes. Maybe the "Splendid Setting" is quite new as I never had it. If I currently had to choose between the XPS 16 and the L502x, I’d of course take the latter too. I’d probably even take L502x currently over the L521x like you did, especially as they’d probably be going for cheap. Also it seems the L521x has some annoying issues to iron out.
Intel is grinding out their processors so fast that there is barely enough time to make any worthwhile improvements for the discerning consumer. Even my first gen. Clarksfield processor still matches up decently with the new stuff.
Ignore the "silent pang" because the difference between the XPS 16’s RGBLED and the L502x’s B+RGLED are probably negligible at worst. As for L521x vs L502x, I’d still probably give the L502x the benefit of the doubt screen-wise. It definitely takes the cake sound-wise though. So all in all, good choice. Just get the screen installed.
