And Justice for All

This is another one of my favorite movies along with Along Came a Spider. Ashley Judd and Tommy Lee Jones do a GREAT acting job in this movie. This is another one of those movies that surprises you, although not much. I was constantly glued to the screen!

Libby (Ashley Judd) is living her dream--on (and about to own) the sailboat she has always loved. Her young son, Maddie (Mattie?) stays with her best friend while she and her husband go for an overnight ride on the boat. After a graphic love scene and a few glasses of wine, Ashley falls asleep and awakens in the middle of the night covered in blood. Screaming for her husband and walking on deck, she finds a bloody knife and picks it up. As luck would have it, about that time the Coast Guard rides up and tells her to put the knife down. She is accused and convicted of her husband’s murder and asks her best friend to adopt her son. When her friend and son disappear, Ashley devotes all her time to getting in shape and plotting how to find them. She jumps parole and begins the mission, all the while being chased by her parole officer, Lamen (Tommy Lee Jones). Justice is definitely served in this movie. It’s a great plot and the movie has great actors/acting throughout.

I won’t say anymore so as not to give away anything. Just watch the movie and I promise you won’t be disappointed.
