Hi...
A Vivid reader and die hard fan of Sir Paulo Coelho, right form the days of Alchemist... I truly believe...11 minutes is a feather in his cap. Maria, and her trials with the destiny...her road to follow her dreams...when her life takes new courses is conveyed honestly and beautifully.
The vulnerability of a young gal, her desire to keep her parents happy, her boldness, her lust to explore the world and her strong will to learn and adapt the worldly ways....definitely makes her represent the new modern women of times...
Let me put it this way............... Well, If we replace Marias work of a prostitute with a Respectable Career...in Administration, IT, Engineering Sectors...I guess that would near an exact sum total of the major Urban and subUrban Girls...of the 21st era....who are striving a to attain a balance between there dreams...there search for love....there need for security...along with their pressure Jobs! I guess, That the biggest reason Why I loved the Book.
The story is written with a highly impressive start. Nevertheless the book keeps you binded, with its flow of balanced events and even in the darkest shades of prostitute life is welcomed in an optimistic way....Neither does Maria grumble or cry in her testing times, nor does the author stretch the event too long, for the readers to moan...Both the story and the language seems weaving with each other to reach a happy end.
It is definitely a welcoming experience to read 11 Minutes - by Paulo Coelho.
I appreciate the authors honest trials of Stories enhancing the power of dreams and following them youthfully. Thanks for the Colorful Indian Prints and Publishers too.
