IF YOU WANT POWER....GO FOR IT

Well.when I saw this car the first time, I thought this will be some odinary hatchback just trying its luck on the indian market. From looks.the car looked minimalistic with some scorpion decals on the top and the steering and on some minor areas and minor body kits added to the original Punto which actually looked awesome.BUT wait till you get behind the wheel.I swear you will enjoy the jerk when you put your feet down to the floor.pressing the accelerator. The car sports a turbocharged 1.4 litre T-JET petrol engine which delivers a toal of 145 bhp and 212 Nm of torque.and considering the weight of the car, which is around 1200 kgs, is quite enough to accelerate the car fast.Just as you get behind the wheel and put down the accelerator to the floor, you can hear the sweet volume of the engine revving up to around 4000-5000 rpm.Yes.due to the high amount of torque, the wheel tends to rotate a bit during the launch.but after the car gains traction, you will feel the huge amount of torque and horsepower at your mere fingertips. For feeling the full torque, you have to rev up to atleast 2500 rpm.then it all feels like butter.the acceleration so smooth. This car comes with a 5 speed manual transmission, which should be enough to pick up quite a high speed. The top speed our team experienced was around 195 kmph at 6500 rpm at the 5th gear.In highway riding, the first gear was quite useless.to be honest. But after you jam it in the second gear, it brings quite a big smile to your face, doing an 80 kmph at just 6000 rpm.The gear ratios are quite good.During city ambling, you don’t need to change the gears quite frequently. The clutch feels hrd sometimes.but you won’t notce it all the time. For gaining something, you must also compromise something. This car compromises in comfort.but if you are not a person who is much much much more conscious about comfort.I beleive you will not have a problem at all in this car.Punto, in the world, is known for its steering, and it keeps the legacy in this car also.It is super smooth, and most of all, it keep you connected to the road and you enjoy your ride to the fullest. The seats are of dual tone leather.Black, the primary colour, red, the secondary colour and red stitching all around. The rear seats are collapsible in a 60:40 ratio, which increases the effective boot space from 280 L to around 700 L, which comes in handy when in need. Now, talking of the dashboard, you will find everything you need when you are in the middle of a race.Unfortunately, this beast dosen’t come with a touchscreen.which will be a point to jot down for some people. The ambient lighting makes the interior feel quite premium. The suspension is a well tuned one.not too hard or too soft, and can handle small random city potholes quite easily. The car comes in disc brakes in all the wheels, and you don’t need to worry about the braking capability for a bit also. The wheels are 16 inch scorpion alloy wheels, with the classic abarth scorpio at the centre, which look hell amazing.flaunting the disc brakes all over.In general.if you want something below he 10 lakh segment which is super powerful.go for this. You will not be disheartened a bit.Whenever you ride this.its performance will bring a huge smile on your face.
