If I’m going to talk about their acting... its been done by so many others better than me.. so, why bother?
Anyway... to me, its a must for all bollywood actress to be able to dance well. It’s just unforgivable for these new breed of actress (headed by kareena obv) who has two left feet and absolutely no sense of rhythm!
Anyway... here’s my list of Bollywood’s best dancers:
1. Madhuri Dixit
Anyone care to disagree with me on this? she is by far the best in tinseltown. be it mordern or traditional. madhuri outshines every single time. my favourite dance scene from madhuri is countless; dola re dole from devdas, badi musykil from lajja, que sera sera.
This woman can move!
2. Aishwarya Rai
Not only she’s so illegally gorgeous to look at. she’s a very graceful as well. Many would say she’s a bad at acting or whatever. but when it comes to dancing, ash dominates! Nimbooda from HDDCS was just spectacular!
3. Sridevi
This is another dancing goddess. she’s lithe, fast on her feet and a dream to watch. but actually, I have a little problem watching her doing mordern dance steps. she’s made for traditionla dances. what do you guys think?
4.Karishma Kapoor
Its sad that you dont see her in any more movies nowadays. imiss seeing her on screen. as contrary to her bratty sister, I was always fond of Karishma and I thought she was a splendid dancer as well. She was great in Dil To Pagal Hai, especially thje opening song.
5. Urmila Matondkar
My favourite from her was without doubt the song number from China Gate. She shakes it! The song number from Lajja was just as good. Who in god’s name said she’s not beautiful? They definately need glasses. She’s been great as an actress as well.

It’s rather sad that bollywood have not produced anymore picturesque dancers lately, but I think some like Isha Kopikaar, Esha Deol have shown promise.
