I am owning a fusion(base model) for last two months and have covered 6000 kms. Costed me 6.95 on road alongwith a sony mp3 and keyless entry. I really want all of you auto buffs to know onhand experience about this vehicle. On the positive side, you get best of everything like console, gear knob, switch gears, dashboard with all new AC louvres, lotsaspace, 9’’ speakers embedded in door panel, height adj. seat belts, decent lights with height adj., programmable wipers etc. On negative side you have evthing thats left. Hardest drive due to tubeless tyres and hydraulic power steering which asks for a muscleman if u wish to cruise more than 100 km. You can even hear those big thuds !! A look which passes very quietly thru ev’ones eyes. Get ready for questions like : A new santro? What car is this? What is the name? You got it modified CHEAP I think !! Also, it gives a feeling like evthing is falling apart. Very very cheap int. and ext plastic. I have to apply oiled cloth to get them shine. The suspension system is just TOO hard. the engine needs constant workout since the power output is at 6500 RPM, something you can never acheive. Second gear ratio is too lean to push the vehicle after a brief screech. AC is ok. Seating is fabulous and only indica and santro offer such a room at rear even. Ride and handling is too poor. I attained a top speed of 140km/h on NH3. Fuel consumtion : 12 highway..god knows what in city! And I couldnt lift up front flat tyre by that ALL NEW IMPROVISED jack. No tool box by the company. No resale of the Car ...
My Suggestion : Never buy this car at the prevalent (over)prices coz you have better options like accent n city. If the car price falls below 5.5 lakhs ex-shroom, Never buy this car coz you can get a far better hatchback and still save a lakh ! Feel free to ask questions on agrawal.anuj@gmail.com .
