Gionee, playing it safe with yet another selfie phone, introduced a new budget smartphone in India - the Gionee X1. The phone sports a robust front camera that is capable of delivering quality images, and an intuitive fingerprint scanner which doubles up as a shutter button.
Talking about its processor, the Gionee X1 is powered by an MT6737 quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz, paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage, which can be expandable to up to 256GB via dedicated microSD card slot.
Other than that the Gionee X1 features a 5-inch HD display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phone will run on Android Nougat-based Amigo 4.0 UI software. The Gionee X1 houses a 3000mAh battery and for connectivity option, the X1 includes a 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi support.
In the camera department, the Gionee X1 features an 8MP HD front-camera with a 1/4 – inch sensor size, supported by an LED flash, which means that the phone can capture stunning selfies even in low-light. For the rear camera, the company has opted for the same 8MP sensor.
