We were having a quarell whether or not we should get an All-in-one machine with or without fax capabilities. After some brainstoming our family diecided it is better, if we went for a separate fax machine, becuase we have cable internet and the phoneline and fax are better off alone. It was only after this decision that we looked for a product, to satisfy our not-so-modest needs. A rebate led us to this machine. Its specifications (as usual) can be found on the companies webpage, the easiest is to search for it. The main difference to the earlier version called psc 750 is the newer printing technology Photoret IV and an upgraded scanning hardware. We ran in to a basic problem a the begining, they didnt supply us with the USB printer cable. (HP forgot). I had to fetch one from the computer store. (An extra 2$) So the testing began. We played around with all the functions, from the printer itself at first, than controlling and changing configuration on the pc. It was fun, but we did have problems figuring out some functions, missing detail in the user manual (UM). I would suggest to look at the companies site for help, most issues are clarified. There is also a color synchro software on the CD, which does help to align the screen colors and the printer colors. After 2 weeks of use I can say that we are impressed with the unit, and are richer with many nice photos printed out. Oh, by the the way, if you get one of these, than give your earlier printer/scanner/copier unit to someone, who didnt see what you just bought, or you may not be able to get rid of them. :))))
