Unfortunately, but the reviews I have read so far about Hitachi After Sales Service are true, i.e. BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK
I had bought an Hitachi S/AC 1.5T Kaze Plus 318HTD from Croma store in Dwarka, Delhi on 13/04/2013. It was told to me that AC would be installed and a demo will be arranged in 2 days time, in-spite of my calling and registering complaint at Hitachi Customer Care, it has not been done till today ( 23 days, demo is still pending).
To add to it, after the Installation of AC (after 15 days), an installation bill of Rs 1400 was handed over to me, this inspite a free installation worth Rs 1800 offered to me at the time I bought the product.
To add on to my agony at the time of installation I found that Auto Swing for AC was not working. When I requested the guys who came to install the unit, they just responded by saying that its not part of their job and for this problem I again need to Call Customer Care and request for demonstration and repair.
Till date despite of my innumerable mails and reminder calls (bearing Request ID 13042400506), none of the Hitachi employee have visited me or even tried to contact me. The problem lies in fact that Hitachi Customer Care office is somewhere in Gujarat and they have tied with some local Vendors for post sales services, who are very rude to talk to, which results into this precarious situation...
I had chosen this product over others, owing to its brand value and on recommendation of one of my friend, but at the end of it I am very highly disappointed.
So, if you are planning to buy an Hitachi air-conditioner be ready for this pathetic after sales service and prepared to undergo this never ending mental trauma & harassment.
