Hotel VAlley View Inn Kodaikanal
Kodaikanal is a good place for a break but the accommodation was pathetic and the service too at Hotel Valley View INN.already the reviews in here weren’t good but we made a mistake by not considering them.this should not happen again that’s why we decided to share our experience here.
After a telephonic conversation 2 days prior to the journey(with hotel manager"maharaja"{dont forget the name for verification}) we decided to go ahead with this hotel.
The hotel arranged site seeing n the guide came at sharp 10am to pick us.The site seeing didn’t go well as the guide said that most of the places are foggy and it wont be visible but it was clear that it was a lie!
So after the site seeing we went for a stroll and some shopping’s we did as well n came back tired.we were told by the hotel boys that hot water comes till 10 so we had rush to refresh.
we went to sleep at 9.45 n were in deep sleep but suddenly we woke up at 1.30 .2 am we found that we totally bitten by this bed bug.to be more precise we were covered with them n it was all over the bed n some were running on us.we realized that it was a big terrible mistake by not considering the reviews as we had the same experience.we decided to sit as chair was there n we kept the pillows on the floor.
the next day we decided to vacate and told "Maharaja" that this could be something bad or worse done to a customer.We told them that we didn’t enjoy the services and we told them to refund the advance payment and then they started showing their true color by threatening us that it would be impossible to leave without making the payment for the next day which we really didn’t want.i guess they were trying to recover their losses or trying to rob us for their needs.they said that this is a hill station n we may even disappear in the woods.
The worst is’Make my trip’ is actually giving them business as we saw a guy discussing terms and conditions withthem.to be more precise u check online booking rates with make my trip and u can call the hotel or check the website of the hotel directly or Google it a bit!these filthy "make my trips" are charging 300 to 400 more .We were wondering how they could promote such hotels!do we have anything genuine in this country.!?
Is this a place we can lodge in for a day or 2.this kinda hotels should be shut & the owners should be penalized for this.
Really sad to include one more thing is the restaurant is really sick as they served us with spoiled foods and by mistake we happen to have coffee n the guy himself wasn’t sure which powder he has put tea or coffee n he kept giggling when I told him to taste it.
After going through all this if u will totally hate to have a time again in kodaikanal as their abuse will echo for a very long time.
