I had been searching for a portable musical system for almost 2 months. I wanted this solution to have with following specifications:
(1) DVD reading capability
(2) An alternate way to play music if somehow primary medium( DVD reader) doesn’t succeed (Except audio cassette option. Preferrably USB port)
(3) Internal amplification and attached speakers
(4) Stereo sound ( But obviously not home theatre)
(5) Karaoke facility if possible
Yesterday I was wandering in market with the intention of acquiring this device and a shopkeeper shown me Intex’s latest R220 DVD player. Primarily I neglected it as it had the same look as usual DVD players. As the shopkeeper insisted me to inspect it carefully, I wondered as it was meeting all the specifications I wanted.
At point 3 it differs as it has detached speakers. Nevermind as these speakers get amplification from the dvd player and no separate power is required for 2 10-Wspeakers. It gives karaoke facility and dolby digital sound.
Folks looking for a compact solution (Not willing to make their homes ’theatres’ or bittle shops) may go for it. Intex is giving 6 months waranty on this product. I am still evaluating it..
