KHAKEE..................is the film to look out for coz its being directed by the very talented RAJ KUMAR SANTOSHI, its got a great star-cast comprising of the Big B, AKSHAY KUMAR, AJAY DEVGAN and AISHWARYA RAI and that the film is based on the lives of a policemen makes it a much anticipated film.The music of the film is composed by debutant RAM SAMPAT and he sure impresses.He is for me the find of the year...... ......the music of KHAKEE is so fresh and enjoyable.After JISM and JHANKAAR BEATS this is probably the best album of the year.It beats the over-rated KAL HO NA HO hands down in terms of the quality of music.The lyrics are penned by SAmeer.

BRILLIANT SONGS
WADA RAHA....................What a beautiful song!It is the best romantic song of the year, for me.The song has been wonderfully composed, its not your routine boring love song, the tune and instrumentation is very nice esp the dhapli used.The lyrics are good too..................and ARNOB CHAKROVARTHY and shreya ghosal’s vocals make this song sound divine.There are two other version of this song, the sad version is sung by SONU NIGAM and the other by UDIT NARAYAN and SHREYA GHOSAL.
YOUN HI TUM MUJHSE............ ............is another beautifully composed love song.Its a kind of song you will instantly like........... .......lyrics are sweet and simple and SONU NIGAM and SHREYA GHOSAL’s flawlees renderation make this song sound sooooooooo good.
DIL DOOBA................this one is a groovy number.Its a very cute song and I loved it the first time I heard it.There are two versions of this song and I liked the remix better than the original though there are some absurd english lyrics in it............but the tune is wicked.SHREYA GHOSAL and SONU NIGAM have sung this one too..............and they both surely work well together.
AISA JADOO........ ............this one is on air now-a-days picturised on LARAQ DUTTA.I do not think too highly of her but this song surely is ROCKING.Its got a infectous tune the beats are deadly....... .........you can’t help but dance to the tune.The Song is sung by SUNIDHI CHAUHAN..........and she puts in a lot of energy singing it.There is a remix version of this song too.... ..............but the original is better.
GOOD SONGS
UPPAR WALe.............. ......is a kind of an anthem song, quite like CHALE CHALO.Its the title song and the lyrics depict the value of khakee(wardi)and the policeman..............its a very good song, lyrics are inspiring................but I think it is more of aq situational song.It will make a better impact when seen in the context of the film.The song has been sung by SUKHWINDER SINGH, SONU NIGAM and KUNAL.
MERE MAULA........................is also a situational song.Its a very slow sad song.............superbly sung by RICHA SHARMA and KAILASH KHER.
The reason I praised KHAKEE music to the skies..................is that its from a very new music director, and he has given a vareity of songs for this film, each one is different from the other and each one is a wonderful composition in its own way.When you have a title like KHAKEE...................you don’t really know what kind of music to give but RAM SAMPAT has delivered the goods..................and now its up to the director to use the songs properly.RAM SAMPAT surely deserves a pat on the back for his sincere effort.Go buy your copies now.......................the music is really very good.
