One simple word to describe this film: WOW - Raj Kumar Santoshi knows how to make movies, he is what I call a movie director.
His previous work has made me a fan of his, such as:
Andaz Apna Apna - A classic comedy which you can watch it like a hundred times and never get sick of it
Pukar - A story of love, revenge, betrayal and obsession. (But, I was quite annoyed by the Pakistani-bashing)
Lajja - A very controversial movie about 4 different women and their surroundings, this is one of the first films about womanhood that actually make sense.

and finally, Khakee... I am trying not to give out any spoilers, but my god you ALL must see this movie.
If you are in for action-packed thriller, eyes glued to the screen, a shocker and the famous twist-in-the-end, then this one is for you.
There is not too much action that will make you sick, but not too little to make you dissappointed. Just the right amount. No hungama, no pagalpan, just simply realistic - and at the end of the movie it really DOES make you think...
The songs from newly music director Ram Sampat has occasionally added some catchy tunes such as Dil Dooba - if you listen to it carefully, the rythmic beats of this song copies Kitna Sona Lagta Hai (the rap version.... I forgot that womens name - a big hit in U.S.A. , no not Lata... ) and then Wada Raha (a slow song) and a dance club song (as usual the slutty Lara Dutta ruins the movie - I dont know why Santoshi ji did that..) Anyways, there were only like 4 songs in the movie, and all of them had only one verse and a bit of music, which was good!
The story is quite interesting, and a many surprises were involved throughout the whole film - I think in some parts there were some clichés, perhaps I was wrong.
Maintenant, Abhi, Isi Waqt, Now the acting:
I guess they call him, Shri Amitabh Bhachan - I never saw any of his earlier movies, and I asked my dad one day when I was very very young, on what happens if he dies and then my dad began this 2 hour long lecture on how the world would stop, and India would be horribly depressed of losing a great actor, and how he is a great man, a fine gentleman, and everything that he is. I was a bit puzzled, so it just sticks in my mind, they many people LOVE HIM TO DEATH... The only movies I saw of his was K3G (ehrlack... yuck), Armaan (he was good and simple), Major Saab (double yuck) and I think thats about it... I cant think of any more. So anyways, he is Anant Shrivastav, more of a senior DCP/Police... He portrayed very well, his deliverance of the dialogues, his facial expressions, and I guess he was actually good. There were many parts of film, where you would feel sorry for him. (I think I gave some away - no I didnt)
Ajay Devgan - An antagonist, named Angre. Is it me, or is he getting more good-looking everyday? A fine actor, yet in this movie his acting flaws a bit. I think he always gives a job well done - from his other previous movies - COME ON, GIVE THIS GUY MORE RECOGNITION! (Psst... watch a scene where he is singing, it was funny, yet disturbing)
Akshay Kumar - Shehkar Verma. I must say, he was very entertaining! I liked him in this movie - I dont watch his movies that much, cause he is always the Khiladi but, he was sensational, and he was the one who added some great comic reliefs. He has proved he can do something rather than fight.
Tusshar - Just plain Tusshar was in the credits - I guess people were sick of the Kapoors already. He played a newcomer of the Police Force, Ashwin Gupte. For once, Ive seen him acted well, a calm, ambitious person with a bit of fear around the corner. But his voice was quite annoying.. He must do something with his voice!!!
Aishwariya Rai - I never liked her in any of her movies, she either cries, or dances to tabla-rythmic songs. But in this film, I think Santoshi did a good job and giving her a small amount of scenes and telling her not to be all that. She was good, she acted better than all of her movies that she has ever done!
Atul Kulkarni - Dr. Iqbal Ansari - known as a terrorist, he was great, he also had a small role, and I think he delivered great acting. (Psst... Watch his silence in the beginning of this movie, makes you wonder)
Supporting Cast - Tanuja has gotten really really old, yet she was good also... Jaya Pradha, well, I never thought she was a good actress in any way. There are two other policemen part of the team, a South Indian man (his acting was good, yet watch his wife was a scene-stealer in this movie) and a chubby man.
I think thats about it, all the characters acted real well.... I wanna say something but I cant! Argghh.. I dont wanna give anything away!
