Kismet Konnection
Aziz Mirza, the maker of great(???) Films like Raju Ban Gaya Gentleman and yess Boss, Now if RBGGM and YB can be considered great then this one can atleast be considered good too.
But I have a different view on the film. Kismat Konnection is a Lage Raho Munnabhai wannabe, and that too in its true sense.
Its the story of a Man who suffers bad luck throughout. Nothing seems to work for him until one day when he meets Vidya Balan ( Priya ), who is his lucky charm as per a weird Astrologer. He starts realising that whenever he meets Priya something good happens to him.
As it would happen in any other hindi film the 2 become close Awwwwww and then fall in love. In this process to become successful, Raj lies to priya about a project which he feels guilty about all the time. Then suddnly one day he decided to tell the truth to her and demand an apology. But again AS it would happen in any other hindi film, just when he is going to tell the truth to Priya, she comes to know about it herself. LOL
Then Mr Raj becomes a Hero and supports the helpless by delivering a new plan, but then as luck would have it, Raj saves the project and the luck is again brought by Priya. Yes She decides to forgive him when she comes to know about it that Raj is a changed man now -- Awwwwww how shweeetttt of her na :) And this luck is also wierd, actually, its a Waving Friend of Vidya ... LOL
The movie is as old as Shahshi Kala and there is nothing which actually interests. No scene Barring the one at the Snooker Table is impressive. The film has its share of lighter moments, but that is that.
Performances: Shahid - Top Notch performance. No Second thoughts. This guy is a brilliant actor and deserves all the success that Alein Roshan is getting. He actually is a better contender for the top spot.
Vidya - Average to OK, Nothing great. One thing that she needs to work upon is STOP BUYING CLOTHES FOR RS 35/- FROM THE EXPORT SURPLUS STORES, INSTEAD TRY KAROL BAGH IN DELHI OR FASHION STREET IN MUMBAI.
Vishal Malhotra - Whenevr given a chance, be it Ishk Vishk, Kaal, Jannat or Kismat Konnection, this guys does well. Hope to see mopre of him.
Rest of the cast is Ok and Om Puri stands out in them.
Music - Is a plus point and all the songs are worth listening to.
Overall - The movie is dissapointing, its only for Shahid’s performance and the Music the movie might run off the mill, otherwise, wud really wish that these kind of movies are not made in bollywood again.
All in One - Konnection ho sakta tha, but Wires hi bekar thi ...
