Employee Mirror. Hope Management is reading
Pros: 1) Profitable, but declining in the last few months for lack of new projects. 2) Variable pay is 10% 3) Leaves are good 4) Salary good 5) Service Group in PUNE is a preferred place to work 6) Tea is free, 2 times a day 7) Good rewards and recognition policy 8) Strong UK presence, but no new projects since past 3 yrs, good count of Staffing onsite 9) Onsite opportunities are less these days10) Attrition is high 11) They have a lot of cash, Baring Equity has invested as a Majority partner 12) Is about 600 employees only 13) Insurance policy is good 14) They have both PRODUCTS and SERVICES, the products are not doing well, their AML product is doing well 15) Headcount Pune - is 80-100, Chennai 30 -40, Mumbai - 100-150 16) They have offices in Jersey Island UK, and London 16) Onsite Salary is good 17) Chairman: Munish Dayal
Cons: 1) These guys are on a firing spree, their merger with KPIT financial services is not bearing fruit, they have lost most of the offshore count, their captives are doing great 2) Their leadership team is way off in todays demanding world and more aligned to Products way of working. Too many old timers that are comfortable in their seats and not making progress 3) Their Services offering is taking a big hit, so they make you work on products to keep you busy. This creates some confusion. 4) Their HR hide a lot of information, usually happens in a Private company 5) Their Pune center is not worth working in as it is not treated at par with Mumbai office. No canteen, No recreation, No Cabs etc. 6) Their Pune center does not have leaders, a new VP(Head) has joined in Nov 2012, he got fired in March13 1days notice7) They dont treat majority of their customers with respect, strange in todays times 8) Separation from company is painful, they can keep you for 90 days without work if they wish 9) Final settlement is really slow 10) Software engineering is very poor on the products side, they have no documentation for their products 11) Services sector is limping to some success 12) Poor travel policies, 48 hrs bus travel is normal, its a policy - No flight for junior staff. 13) If on bench you could be posted anywhere in Mumbai or Chennai or Pune 14) They gladly take buyout cheques at time of separation 15) After resignation they trouble you by transfer to other locations on the pretext you have 90 days more to go. 16) There are probably no projects with CMMI, its has the certification though 17) Nobody is proud to be in that company for long term, if they get a job they will switch. 18) New Projects are from the less developed nations like in Africa. They dont have a US presence 19) Private company so no idea on exact profits 20) Their leadership continues to take solace in old memories and successes 21) 2 yr bond 22) Sales team is new and very young, not had any wins in the past 6 months 23) Chennai - No one knows what is going on there, 24) Travel Policy to UK is off the mark 25) Technical Leadership have resigned in 2012, no new hire done in Pune and Chennai . 26) They say 90 days notice both ways, but at time of forced separation they negotiate a full 3 months pay, you are lucky if you get it all.27) If you are returning from Onsite(long term) you have a 1 yr service bond to follow offshore+ 90 days notice period.28) The last Microsoft resource resigned from Pune, they have some MS guys in Mumbai location.
