I was pretty new to LYF devices when I went to purchase it but had to as the JIO offer stands valid only with the LYF device as told by the retailers.
My motive was to use this phone as an internet modem instead of a phone as the only thing I was concerned with JIO was the faster 4g internet.
I had a blurred information that I received from my friends regarding this particular LYF Flame 6 was that due to its low RAM i.e. 512 MB, the HOTSPOT does not work efficiently!
I cleared my doubt with the Reliance croma people, they ignored to this fact.
Then I consulted the local retailers, even they ignored this fact!
But soon when I started using the HOTSPOT frequently, it actually didn’t reacted the way it should!
The LYF device automatically cuts off the HOTSPOT itself not once, not twice but much much more frequently! Which is so damn irritating as a user!
The range of the Wi-Fi Hotspot is insanely dramatic!
For example, if the LYF device is in my bedroom with the hotspot turned on,
and I search for Wi-Fi in any other device while i’m in the drawing room, my device would show me that yes there is this LYF device hotspot available, will show a fairly good amount of network strength but WON’T CONNECT TO IT AT ALL!
Even if it connects after a number of tries, it would automatically disconnect within a few seconds.
Coming to the device performance,
Heating is the major problem.
Sometimes the device gets over heated to its limits while in constant use.
This is what I personally experienced with the LYF Flame 6.
Although a 3k phone won’t come up with anything big, but atleast when LYF and JIO manufactured these devices and connections majorly for high speed internet, atleast the hotspot thing should have got taken care of!
