The Upper Crest

Okay so I did it... I spent a handsome amount of money on a shirt. For the last three years Louis Phillipe was the thing that every friend I knew coveted. And after much dileberation I bought a Louis Philippe shirt. And being a creature of Habit I bought the top of the line Gods and Kings collection shirt. Now the thing about Louis Phillipe is that it been in India for the last 17 years (yeah thats right... 17 Years). It is a brand manufactured by Madura Garments.. the same company that makes, Allen Solly, Peter England and SF Jeans not to mention Van Huesen. So all in all Louis Phillipe is still the vanguard brand. The shirt in question is a double cuff button. Dobby print shirt. The shirt cost me a whopping 1543 Rs. Now I say whopping because it is a hell of a lot of money to spend on a piece of shirt. However what makes the brand tick is not the fantastic quality or the magnificent tailoring. That you can get from other brands. But its the Oomph factor that takes it a step ahead. Louis Phillipe has been as long as I can remember a sign of power and a fashion statement. I remember my first advert and I remember how I was impressed by the simplicity of the ad. Just a man wearing a corporate shirt and a quick zoom in to the Crest. A crest that defines fashion in the country. A sign that for any who knows brands is a symbol of style. The brand and the material are just brilliant. But what makes a Louis Phillipe a more than a shirt is the name that so many have come to trust and cherish. I would give it two thumbs up as far as quality, craftsmanship and sheer reliability is concerned. All in all to sum up the review. If you got a Louis Phillipe get out there and flaunt the cuff mate.
