Love is all around you!

This being one of my favourite romance flicks, I couldn’t resist penning down my take on this adorably sweet and entertaining bouquet of love & relationships!

This movie is about 8 totally different couples, having different problems, different views to life and different takes on it! The story deals in sending out the only solution to your problems, "Love" ..Actually ! How, all these different couples end up discovering Love in their own unique ways, is this movie all about!

May it be the emotions of the young kid(Thomas sangster), when his young love interest sings

"I just want you for my own

More than you could ever know

Make my wish come true...

All I want for Christmas

Is you..."

and the intensified jelousy when she inadvertedly points out "you" in the song to four different directions,

Or the adorable romance between an English writer Jamie (colin firth) and his Portuguese maid Aurelia (Lucia moniz) , who doesnt seem to understand each other but somehow, end up answering each others questions as if they were talking in the language of silence,

Or, the prime minister’s (Hugh grant) untold affection towards his servant Natalie (Martine McCutcheon) , who makes him sing carols to young kids on the street she lived, this movie truly is so sweetly kept together, that you unknowingly start adoring the characters!

Details-

Movie - Love Actually

Director & Writer - Richard Curtis

Year of Release - 2003

Cast - Hugh Grant, Liam Neeson, Emma thompson, Colin Firth, Keira knightley and Others!

These are the dialogues taken from the movie, which impressed me immensely and would give you an innocent glimpse into their sweet stories!

Jamie: "It’s my favorite time of day, driving you."

Aurelia : "It’s the saddest part of my day, leaving you."

Billy mack to his manager - "And I realized that as dire chance and-and-and fateful cockup would have it, here I am, mid 50s, and without knowing it I’ve gone and spent most of my adult life with a- with a chubby employee. And-and much as it grieves me to say it, it-it might be that the people I love is, in fact... you."

Mark - "With any luck, by next year - I’ll be going out with one of these girls.

But for now, let me say - Without hope or agenda - Just because it’s Christmas - And at Christmas you tell the truth - To me, you are perfect - And my wasted heart will love you - Until you look like this [picture of a mummy] Merry Christmas"

Probably have missed a lot of interesting characters, but its for you to check out in the movie!

Favourite scenes -

1) The confrontation of mark to Juliet with write-ups!

2) The proposal of jamie to aurelia in broken portuguese!

3) Prime minister’s visit to natalie’s place!

4) The conversations between Jamie and Aurelia!

5) Mark walking out after Juliet discovered the wedding tape!

6) The kid running through the airport, to say bye to his lady friend!

7) The ending scene!

8) The conversations between the kid(Sam) and Daniel!

9) Sam’s preparations for wooing his love interest!

Probably there are a bunch more, and the list would seem endless :-)

The thing that impressed me most was the fact that even though, the different stories are so scatterred around in the plot, you seem to immediately connect to the characters when they reappear on the scene! A brilliant blend of intricate cinematography and direction I must say!

This would be almost a perfect Romantic comedy, for all to enjoy and rejoice, the immortal emotion....Love!

If you havent seen this film yet, go get it and enjoy this immensely enjoyable movie, which I am sure would stay with you for a long time!

Enjoy & Cheers!
