We recently got our D-Zire ZDI after a wait of numerous months. I knew it was an excellent car when I test drove it. but owning it was a different feeling alltogether.
Ok... coming to the car. The features I liked;
The Seats. both the front and the rear are excellent for longer periods of Drive. The center arm rest on the rear is specially good.
The audio controls on the stearing wheel are lovely and I wish they were on my other car (alto) as well.
the suspension is excellent and makes you try hard to feel a bump.
Coming to the engine: It is the FIAT Multijet 1248 CC Diesel Engine and you would not notice that it is a diesel as Maruti has done the insulation very well.
the engine of this car is just amazing. delivers a torque of 190NM more than Honda CIvic’s 171.5!!!!!!! Although this is not the correct comparision as civic is a petrol model .However still the torque is still more than comparable diesel models like Fiesta, Indigo and Logan...
Moreover it is highly economical on fuel consumption. It gave me a mileage of 17.7Kmpl. in city conditions, yes it includes 30 minutes of traffic jams for every 90 minutes of driving.
the only discomforting factor is the price, very high compared to its petrol equivalent. however still the car is worth every penny.
