Mary Kay Make UP, it's sometimes the way to go!

I use a combination of different brands of make up. I use a foundation and mascara made by one company, a blush and eye shadow made by yet another. I don’t use powder much.. I use a concealer, blush and various eye shadows made by Mary Kay® and I sometimes will use their foundation and other cleansing products.

The biggest reason I don’t use all their products is the cost and the fact that my husband is a mechanic at (Revlon™) and I can get most if not all my make up from there for less than half the cost of the products in the stores. (How’s that for honesty!) However there is a blush that Mary Kay® makes that in my opinion there is not another one better. I have used their blush now for over 10 years. (I can also get a discount on the Mary Kay® products from my consultant who attends my church, who gives all her church customers a 10% discount.) I am actually torn between the two companies! They both make wonderful and reliable products. Enough blabbering! On with my review on Mary Kay® blush.

How I feel

I trust the Mary Kay® name and have for a long time. Their products do cost more than some, but they are good products. They test their products and most come with a hypoallergenic formula. I know the first time I ever attended a Mary Kay® party about 15 years ago, there was no way I could afford to buy the starter kit which was the only way to get a Mary Kay® product of any kind at that time. Over the years they have found the error of their ways and you can now buy any product that you want to, even without having a party. And another thing I would like to say here, Mary Kay® products makes a nice gift anytime of the year. They offer a wide variety of products from facial cleansers, to makeup, to colognes, to products for men, to sun care products, to fingernail polishes, to foundations, to eye shadows, to mascara, to all types of skin care products and make up removers. There are a lot of items to choose from. Call to find out the nearest consultant to you and give them a try. You may just find that you like them. And when you compare their price to the prices of other manufactures in the stores, their products are not that badly priced. I know in the stores make up has gotten expensive. And since I have to drive a ways to get to my nearest Wal-Mart I weigh my options of travel time, gas, and wear and tear on the vehicle. So sometimes it is just as cost efficient to call my consultant. (And there are times when my husbands work place does not have the product I use with them in stock.) The blush that I use goes on smoothly and does last all day. It is easy to use to freshen up should I need to. Also, should I take a nap during the day, the blush does not rub off. When choosing a make up one has to be careful with what they choose for various reasons. You need to be sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients (I cannot stress this enough) and you have to choose the right colors, skin type, if the fragrance is bothersome to you, cost of the product, reliability of the product, quality and the list goes on and on. Also you need to be sure that you choose colors of foundation, blush, eye shadows and mascara to match your skin type. If you have combination skin you have to find products that suits those needs as well. I hope that this has helped in some kind of way. God Bless!
