Go for Philips Steam Iron

I planned to buy a iron since the one which I was using was providing enough current supply to my body, and at times the current would be very much serious not as much as it could take my life but it was strong enough to lay me down for few seconds. The iron which I & my parents used was very primitive, and my parents had purchased it few decades ago. Nowadays I have to iron the clothes myself and I really pity my parents who used to iron my clothes in such a pathetic condition of the iron.

I preferred buying a steam iron and choose to buy from the philips range as all the products that are used in my house are mostly of philips as I feel they are reliable in spite they being expensive. I went to croma and purchased this iron named Philips Steam GC1010, and its been six months now and I would say so far so good. No more shocks, and light by weight and no need to splash drops of water in order to get a perfectly ironed trousers.

Pretty easy to use as the iron comes with a manual guide for users and I don’t even think the need for a guide arises as the device is quiet transparent and looking at the options also one can use it appropriately. Options for silk clothes, linen clothes, woolen clothes can be switched by turning the round panel provided below the handle. It’s quite durable and till now I have just faced one problem and it’s almost been six months me buying this.Pretty stylish and very smartly build as it’s very light weighted and I prefer light weighted stuffs especially when I have to work with it nearly every day. Frankly speaking till today I haven’t felt the need for service and support as the device is operating perfectly.

Few noticeable things about this iron are:

It has a Linished soleplate and it’s made of thin aliminium hence quicker the heating of the iron and helps in consuming less amount of energy helping reduce electricity bills. The vents are distributed uniformly so that steam is supplied to all the places and not condensed at one place. The self clean option also helps flush the dirt particles from the plate.

The only problem that I am facing now is that the water leaks out when filled to the brim, but this problem I am facing because of my ignorance as once I accidently dropped the iron and since then the water leaks when tilted too much and at times even wetting the clothes and prevent me from wearing them. One more thing that I noticed was that the iron is only available in green color and no other color. More colors should be introduced especially for people who hate green color.

The product come with a warranty of 2 years and that’s too much for an iron I guess. Although I don’t find time to take the iron to the nearest philips dealer, I will soon try to visit one center. While buying the product from croma I didn’t face much problem, neither in selecting the iron nor any confusion on which brand to prefer as I always had Philips in mind. Few suggestions that I would give is that keep the soleplate scratch-less. and avoid ironing stuffs that are made of plastic type material.

A suggestion from my side to Philips is to improve the place where water is being put in and a better material so that it does not get damaged when handed rashly. The pricing is average and it range starts from 950-1300/-

I had purchased the iron for something around 1, 150/- Satisfied with the product so far, and hope so things go well with this product. Recommended to everyone who are in search for a good Iron. If any queries regarding the iron do m2m me.
