I saw the movie yesterday on Star Gold. I did not feel it as absorbing as it was claimed to be in the reviews and the media. One can not follow the story line until it progresses quite a long.(in fact I had to see the side pictures in the end along side the titles and acknowledgements which shows the incident of hitting, to understand the story in proper perspective). Also there are needless deviations. The case of Falak testifying to have taken the money puts everyone in confusion about the main thrust of the movie. Even after all this, it is not a loud and clear message from such a senior actor as Amithab who could have been better used for his voice and subtlety in his delivery of message. His abilities in effectively delivering these social messages have been better exploited in many many advertorial films and public propaganda by Govt agencies. What PINK stands for? Why it is defined as the color of girl/women? How it came into existence? Do majority of Women prefer PINK as their favorite color? As a woman I like various colors but I don’t stand only with PINK…….Now people may ask whats wrong with PINK being the color of Women. But I want to know why you want a color to define a gender? When girl baby is born she never chose PINK as her color, but her parents loads her room, her toys in PINK which eventually becomes her color right. Why so? Ok if so then which color defines Man. Red or Orange or violet……What color stand out for him…….What color is chosen to a boy baby’s room or his toys.
The film PINK portrays a Man’s hand reach out to help them, but in first place it also portrays a Woman charging them in first hand without any evidence. Which is a mirror image that our society faces? It’s the true face of my gender. One can’t afford equality when there is drip in one’s own.
Don’t let only the PINK define you and don’t stop with PINK. Enjoy every color in nature. Choose your own, Say NO to which you don’t want/like.
