To start off with, I would say that im quite brand loyal when it comes to Pizza Hut. I personally feel that Pizza Huts Pizzas are the best in India. Nothing can match them, let alone beat them.
Pizza Huts pizzas are fresher, tastier with the perfect amount of everything in them, right from the bases thickness to the toppings, to the cheese, than any other pizza. Now that ive mentioned cheese, I shall also mention that the cheese on their pizzas tastes to be the most fresh and its fragrance is what tells you that a pizza is going to be delivered at your table even when the waiter would be 2 tables away.
and I cannot forget to mention the fresh and absolutely yummy garlic bread with cheese(i dont prefer the one with spices). that garlic bread is almost out of this world. I wonder what dough they use to make the garlic bread.
but there are always two sides to a coin. I genuinely feel that pizza huts pizzas are over-priced and are thus not value for money. a lower middle income group person would rather go to a pizza corner than come to pizza hut for a meal with his family or if in a large group. same would hold true in case a college student wants to treat hisher friends who are quite a few in number.
another drawback that I have noticed is that when pizza hut pizzas reach your place through a home delivery, they are not the same as what you get to eat when you are inside the restaurant. the pizzas are slightly drier, with less toppings and even lesser cheese at times, although you still pay the same amount. this kind of thing is not accepted when you are already paying so much for something. whether you are eating inside the restaurant or at your place, at least the taste of the dish should be the same.
now, lets come to Dominos. well, I think that Dominos pizzas are less fresher than the Pizza Hut pizzas. moreover, they seemed to have Indianised the Pizzas, which are originally Italian. the flavour of Dominos Pizzas is largely Indian. that might sell more in the Indian market but I personally prefer the Pizza Hut flavor over the Dominos flavor. plus, Dominos pizzas seem to be reheated at times and not so fresh. the toppings are ok. garlic bread at Dominos can never even match the garlic bread offered at Pizza Hut. Dominos garlic bread is usually hard and rubbery and not soft and chewy. the pricing seems acceptable, though still not value for money. the cheese burst pizza is honetsly not my cup of tea. it makes the pizza too heavy and fatty and the essence of the toppings seems to be lost since the focus is then only on the cheese between the layers.
all in all, I guess Pizza Hut is anyday a far better Pizza joint than Dominos or any other pizza joint for that matter.
