Last year, my Dad approached RG Stone, East of Kailash, New Delhi hospital for a problem with urinary flow and the doctor immediately suggested HOLEP within 3 days.
Today, after 6 months of pain / efforts, 1.5 Lakh rupees, numerous visits to the hospital, there are no signs of improvement. In fact the problem is getting more worse. And now the Doctor says that there is a obstruction in the urinary passage and need to do another surgery - C’mon, you can’t do this, RG Stone. You can’t operate a patient for the same problem. For any problem, the patient is the final judge and in this case, there was no relief(even temporary) after the surgery. RG Stone failed here.
We took second opinion, to find:
1) The HOLEP surgery was unnecessary for a prostate weighing 23 gm. In fact the prostate was close to normal and because RG Stone offers the same formula for everything, they operated. Simple!
2) When cystoscopy was done, BNI could have been done if required, but maybe the doctor wasn’t competent / able to find that one.
Now RG Stone wants us to believe that after HOLEP sometimes there comes an obstruction in the urinary passage and so now a BNI is required. Gosh!, you guys should have told this to us earlier. We trusted you with almost blindly(our mistake, agreed) and you screwed it all.
Our piece of advice:
Always take a second opinion
RG Stone might call them selves as specialist in urology, they are not. In fact they are worse than many others.
