Bought this car from PMG Renault Chandigarh. So far(2 years) the service and support from Renault and the dealer is good.
The car is a nicely built sober looking 1000 cc machine with small outside looks, yet has fair space inside.
The built justifies the segment and the ex-showroom costing. I got it for upwards of 5.0 L but one may look for nice seasonal discounts too. Ground clearance is although nice but I feel it should’ve been a little more while driving bumpy roads.
Performance-wise I am happy with it. Gear shift is(deliberately made) a little hard as compared with other cars from Hyundai and VW but once you are use to it, it’s fine. Pickup is nice, if picked up in 1st or 2nd gear to reach 60 kmph quickly, this car behaves(and sounds) as sport car, however doing so is not recommended.
Mileage is one of the best parts. I get around 18 -20 kmpl in good roads of Chandigarh and 14-16 kmpl in undeveloped roads of outskirts. On long distance highway ride, my personal best is 22 kmpl on a 280 km journey on an expressway.
It has a simple driver’s interface with well placement of media and other controls. Has just 1 airbag at driver’s side with collapsible steering rod as a safety feature. I feel at least there should be 2 airbags.
I would definitely recommend this car.
