Reth is a drama serial about a family who struggles to survive against the problems and obstacles that face them on seemingly a daily basis.
The main characters are Jia (a family oriented, traditionally raised young lady) who is married to Shekhar ( a journalist).
Jia and Shekhar constantly have problems in the marriage due to the constant interference of a few individuals, Savitri (whose sole purpose in life seems to be to make others miserable) and Nethra (a young lady whose feelings for Shekhar have been made apparent to all.)
The plot of this drama intensifies with every episode, just when you think life is back to normal for the young couple another problem arises causing turmoil between the two. I think the twists and turns in the plot is what makes it so appealing.. you never know what to expect.
Some dramas have storylines that make them so complicated and difficult to understand. Although Reth’s plot thickens with each episode, it never gets to the point where it becomes ludacris... this drama serial is an explosion of talent and has the ability to captivate its audience.
I highly recommend watching it. Its something you can totally understand desi people being faced with, but its not the type of story you bump into on a regular basis.
