This is a restaurant in my neighborhood. I may have not visited the place as many times as I’ve called for a home delivery. The best thing about ordering at home from Saffron is the discount that you get. 10% off the total bill. Consider going to the restaurant and you will also have to pay the service charge. Hence, home delivery is cost effective. I will not call this place budget friendly as it is a little more expensive than that.
The place offers a variety of cuisines - Chinese, Mexican, Thai and Mughlai. I recommend Mughlai. Barbecue 65 is a must-try in the appetizers. The pahadi kebab served here is soft, creamy and rich. For the main course, give Murg Patiyala a shot. It is a gravy boneless chunks of chicken wrapped in an omlette. Its flavorsome taste will linger in your senses. The quantity is also pretty good. That one portion of gravy can serve 2-3 people, depending on the appetite. A recipe as basic as dal khichdi is also delicious. I have never had a problem with the taste of the food. The lunch buffet is inexpensive for the expansive menu that they offer. Friends who work in nearby offices have had their team supper at least once in this buffet.
The ambiance is simple and sophisticated. Yellow lights and light colored drapes, this is a place where you take your family. That is the kind of crowd you will find here.
