This phone is similar in almost every aspect to the original Galaxy S3. Though I am not a Samsung fan, I always found the S3 to be the most handy phone of their Galaxy line-up. So, when such a powerful phone which took Samsung to the Number #1 slot comes at a price of under 13K, its a fantastic deal.
Hardware: The best part of the phone is the 4.8" Super AMOLED Display. This feature is a rarity at this price range and its because of this that your phone looks more expensive than it is.
The phone is slim and feels really good in your hand. The volume rocker is on the left hand side, is very slim, and thus, its sometimes hard to find. I find this a problem in all Samsung phones though. Also, this phones heats up a bit during regular game play.
16GB internal storage is quite sufficient and you can always expand. Software: It runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat and is pretty smooth. The TouchWiz isn’t the latest version but has little lag. Surprisingly, the bloatware is also kept to a minimum. Games run great on this phone.
Overall, this phone is nice and probably the best at this price range. I’ve used Moto G(2nd Gen) too and the display of the 2nd Gen Moto G is a shame. Its only 295ppi because of the 5" screen and even the Gorilla Glass coating is cheap. But S3 Neo outshines the Moto G(2nd Gen) with its display.
So far, all features are working fine. Some insight:
1) No heating problem as such. Though I am not a gaming enthusiast, the handset goes without complain with moderate calling/texting/mailing and mobile data, bluetooth being switched on for 12 hours.
2) No battery issues. By the end of day, I still have 20-30% left. If you do not use bluetooth/wifi and only use Mobile Data, apart from other regular uses, the battery show is around 40-45%.
3) Wifi, 3G, Bluetooth etc are working good. Installed Superbeam for sharing movies, and it transferred really fast.
4) Display is clear and sharp.
5) When connected to Wi-Fi, its asks for updating certain apps. Do not spend your bytes on Chat-On, as it is no longer supported by Samsung.
6) Very light weight. Sometimes, its weight is not felt in woolens.
7) Yet to check its Maps and GPS ability.
8) Camera is really cool with good flash. No issues of Red eye.
9) UI is also lag-free and very smooth.
Go for this phone, you’ll fall in love with it as soon as you turn it ON!
