Errrrrrrr.
Sorry for reviewing this ’GREAT CLASSIC’ but I just couldn’t resist. First of all the title reads’Shakalaka Boom Boom’ now who in the right mind would have a title that probably messes the whole film up from the start? Then this ’GREAT’ director makes Bobby Deol a superstar and Upen Patel and rising star and they sing songs. Oh yes, there are two ’GREAT’ actresses named Kangna Ranaut and Celina Jaitley, who are also wonderful in showing us how Indian women should look like living in the states. Himesh does the music which probably should be a unique selling point of the film and my God, even his songs fall flat in this ’MASTERPIECE’. Another great aspect of this’EPIC’ is the location which is meant to be the United States but actually its South Africa, this should tell you that the great ’DIRECTOR’ is trying to fool us people because some of us dont know the difference between South Africa number plates of the cars and those of the Americans!
After Upen Patel’s first song, you suddenly she him naked in a car with Celina. This tells us that a love making scenario has just happened. Then we hear Upen say the words’I’m the best!’ - with some off key facial expression. THIS MADE ME LAUGH
Then in a typical Bollywood scene Upen and Kangna bump into each other and Upen’s ice cream falls - its unbelieveable acting from Upen saab, on how he keeps crying about the ice cream.
Bobby realises that Upen is’maha-talented’ and he starts talking to his guru about him not being as good as him BUT if you see his facial expressions, it seems that he’s getting turned-on by Upen’s body and looks. **GREAT COMIC SCENE!
Theres many classic scenes like these but I’ll skip to the climax. Upen becomes sick but Bobby wants a composition from the Upen on the name of relaunching him. Upen asks to go to sleep for 2 hours and Bobby wakes him up after 25mins and says "Oye utth, mujhe composition banani hain" The one thing I give Bobby in this film, he really rinses Upen out to his maximum.
Upen ends up in hospital and something falls on Bobby’s head, to which he can’t hear again and the we suddenly see a devil going after Bobby in worse graphics than a 4 year olds scribble on a piece of paper and Upen rises and walks as if he’s on the Lakme fashion week walk and the boom boom music starts playing. **WAAH WAAH, KYA FILM HAI!
Bobby Deol - stick to’trying’ on being a gangster
Upen Patel - since your from London, I want you to do well in Mumbai but please do not test the patience of the brothers in India, with absolute ridiculous performances like this one!
Kangna - STAY WITH THE BHATTS
Celina - come to London, I know a lot of movie makers here from the Adult Channel and I’m sure you’d be interested.
Finally the great Sunil Darshan - Get a gun and shoot yourself!
Barring’Dil Lagayenge’ - everything is wrong in this so called Amitabh-SRK story.!
