SHEZAN --branches at Cunningham Road and lavelle road in bangalore.
Wondering why nobody has written a review on this particular restaurant I decided to take the first step. With 2 branches (to my knowledge) in Bangalore it is one of the better restaurants around.
For a meat lover it is a veritable oasis in a desert of decent restaurants in bangalore. Their steaks are the main attraction. Served sizzling hot the meat is fresh, juicy and well cooked. Their portions are generous and are enough to satisfy a decent sized appetite (such as mine). Another great preparation are the lamb chops. The rest of the cuisine maintains the standard and leaves you with a satisfied smile at the end of it all.
Dessert, another area of decent cuisine unavailable in bangalore is satisfied here. The cheesecake is the most authentic around. The apple cake, served with cream or ice cream as per your choice, is another satisfying fare.
No Alcohol is served however. A minor drawback. Easily overlooked and forgiven once the food arrives.
The cost is most reasonable. For a similar experience, at most places across bangalore, you will end up shelling out around double of what you will dish out here. A satisfying meal will come out to Rs200 to Rs250 at the very maximum.
No reservations are required but if you are going in a large group it may be advisable to do so. I never had to wait for more than 5 minutes for a table.
If there is a drawback it is the decor and general appearance. Could be done up. The restaurants are a bit cramped for space and the seating is not the most comfortable around. The music could do with a major upgrade. The only music you are likely to hear would be Radio City FM. Not the most appetising!!
All in all, a nice place for a quiet evening out with some friends or with the family. If I were to rate it on a scale from 1 to 10 I would give it 8 1/2. Try it and let me know!!
