I bought this bike in Sep 2006 with primary purpose of using for daily office commuting. The salesman claimed it has got features like Engine cooling and can be used for long drives but it is not fit for such adventures. First thing, it has a 100cc engine - so no power. Also, if you cross 60, it starts vibrating and shuddering - Don’t know if others have faced this.
It gives a decent mileage of about 60 here in Bangalore. The fuel guage needle sometimes gets stuck and after a while, automatically starts working. I have asked the Service people to fix it 2 times but no respite so far.
During initial days, braking sometimes used to cause skidding and shaking of the bike, but during 2nd service I mentioned it to the mechanics and they seem to have done something - it is not happening now.
Starting is a problem sometimes. Since I don’t have the button start, it requires several kicks before it startes up and once started such way, the throttle has to be kept up for a few mins otherwise engine dies. People can get confused because of this. My brother thought Air filter was dirty and had to be cleaned and a friend once assumed he was out of petrol and started dragging it by hand!!!
Another unnecessary feature seems to be the Alloy wheels. I don’t know what purpose they serve but the salesperson was making a big deal of it.
But overall, a decent city bike
