Before writing this review, I went through a few reviews, but couldnt even a single positive review.
First of all, believe me, I have not been paid by TATA or NTT Docomo to talk postives. Whatever I have below is my own experience. I have been using BSNL Cell One(Lifetime) for the past 7+ years. I needed an alternate number. I called up Vodafone rep in my corporate office and took a new Vodafone postpaid kit for Rs. 99 rental and call rates 0.50 ps. min and with free mins and SMS. After 2 days rep did not activate that no. as I had some outstanding dues unpaid in 2008( because Vodafone over-billed me then, obviously I wont pay). The rep begged me to pay that due and get this new connection.
I had a smiling "NO" as my response to him.
Then I opted for my TATA DOcomo Postpaid Connection which charges a nominal rental of Rs. 99.00 only which provides me with 500 local minutes(all mobile, WLL, LL) and 100 Local/STD sms free for a month.
I calculated. approx 1 min= 20 paisa for calls. SMS usage is very low for me. 100 should be more than enough.
Please note that I bought the connection knowing very well that I had ZERO coverage inside my home. No incoming no outgoing possible from indoor home. Still I opted for that as I can afford coming out and making a call when TATA gives me calling for cheapest possible price.
I started my life happily with Docmo in the last of October . 1st of November. First bill was for 23 days(approx) as my billing cycle was from every 23rd to the subsequent 22nd of the next month. I shall paste all my bills till now.

My TATA Docomo mobile number is 72000-67199, registered in the name of Kumar Sankaran, Avadi, Chennai.
Whatever excess of Rs. 110.00(Rental 99+service taxes, edu cess, etcc.) you see above is just because my wife uses my mobile occassionally to make STD calls to Banglore(my in laws home:-) and makes long:-) conversations, which costs me 50 paisa /min( No free STD minutes in this plan, alas!). Docomo still offers me a pack for Rs. 50.00 whre I can et 150 STD mins to any mobiles and perhaps another 48 which gives 500 STD DOCOMO to DOCOMO minutes free. I use neither as if I go for any of the above, my wife will bring the bill surely to 300+ lol!:). I mange to flirt with my sister in law(s) via sms only.
My only concern with this connection was that I was unable to use it indoors in my home. Now that too got resolved when TATA complemented me with a Docomo Tower my next door(less than half a kilometre from my home) and now I am using it indoors too.(since last month).
What else would a simple economic man need more from a typical mobile operator than a far good service, more than satisfactory quality, economic calling tariff, male-me-smile freebies, and last but not the least, fair billing, which is expected by all middle class men like me.
Believe me I couldnt find a single fault with Docomo billing since my first bill starting from October 2011, which was for Rs. 115.00 .
ONLY DISSATISFACTION:
The only occassion when I cursed Docomo is when:
Whenver I have my phone unreachable or switched off, I get an sms from TM-MC ALERT, which should perhaps be a missed call alert service saying I have n number of missed calls and asking me to sms to a five digit no. @ 25 paisa / sms for getting 3 latest missed numbers. One fine day there was such a message after a long switch off time saying I have 10 missed calls and asking me to send the sms. I sent the sms for 25 paisa and I got a reply which boiled my blood. It said that the system doesnt have any missed calls. Then why the hell I got a message saying I have 10 missed calls. Subsequent month itemised bill showed me charged for that sms. I understood that this is a crap and I stopped using that service. I delete such messages whenever it comesinto my inbox.
MY TARIFF:
Plan Name: GSM 99 Speed Plan( A corporate plan without any deposit or activation charges)
Monthly Rental: Rs. 99.00(when I got, now it has been hiked to Rs 149.00 p.m. with the same benefits below. I still pay Rs. 99.00)
Freebeies: 500 Free Local Minutes(including Landlines!) and 100 free local and national SMS per month.
CUG: Free Unlimited
Call Charges:
All Local Calls/ sms(including Landlines and WLLs): 30 paisa/min and 30 paisa/ sms rRajeev_Vermactively
All STD Calls(including Landlines and WLLs): 50 paisa/min and rRajeev_Vermactivelypaisa/ sms rRajeev_Vermactively.
CLARITY: sounds good enough.
NETWORK: satisfactory, good inside home
BILLING: Extremely Fair
ROAMING: Satisfactory as I need to keep checking whether I am in Docomo or with Sponsors network to save my heavy charges.
Shall keep on updating my experience with my Tata Docomo Postpaid no. 7200067199 from time to time.
Please note that whatever Ive written here is my own experience with the connection and not anyones influence on me in any way.
I dont have a fair much idea about prepaid in Docomo, but Ive noticed that online topups in Docomo website gives 10% more talktime, 55 for 50, 110 for 100 and 550 for 500. Moreoever there are rate cutters to bring down your tariff to 1 paisa for 2 seconds(30 paisa/min effective) for both local and STD calls. I was using a prepaid Docomo in 2009, when it was newly launched 90437-88706 with 1 paisa/sec tariff and it was fine but for the indoor no signal issue @ home.
Thanks and Regards, Reviewers and Readers.

Update on June 06, 2012
Last Monday, I got a new Docomo Prepaid kit for my wife in Chennai(88074-xxx24) which had an attractive tariff of 10 paisa/ minute for local Docomo calling and others were 1.2 paisa per second flat.
Promotional Salesman gave me the SIM Card for Rs. 10/- with a talktime of Rs. 42.39( though he claimed it to be Rs. 44 while buying:-( )
Now she can call me on my Docomo(72000-xxxxx) @ just 10 paisa per minute.
No complaints / regrets with Docomo till date.
Thanks
Kumar
